Parlec was a previous client when the company had a need for my expertise in the field of Illustration and Design. Throughout a 3 year span I created professional illustrations, design and layout of multi-media as needed by their company. I was delighted to bite into large projects for multiple departments at this highly technical company focused on tools, tool holders, and presetting. Some of this work will not be seen on their site currently as the company has restructured their business and some is proprietary, limiting my ability to show all samples.
Working with engineers and department heads I developed hundreds of Illustrations and Screen Designs for use in their new software programs. Other projects such as Ads, Fliers, Catalogs, Banners and Logos were used by their Marketing and Advertising Department.
These are just of few samples of project work for this company done remotely mixed with some onsite and phone conference meetings.
Layout of highly technical, 50 page Catalog. These pages show an example of tool, icon illustrations and screen layouts I created for Parlec: engineering department’s software/app as well as the catalog layout.
This project included the design and creation of hundreds of icons and all screen layouts with every working element from a button to indicators to full screen layouts and icons for use in an imaging and control system developed for tool measuring. The challenge was to create these icons, elements of the software and screen layouts to be recognized world-wide without the use of any text. Individuals who are familiar with tool measuring and presetting utilize this program for Imaging, Measuring and Tool Data Management. These samples were all created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and saved in various digital formats for use in presetting software programs and applications. Multiple sets of icons with varying themes were also developed for different software packages.
